2019 TRD Line-up

The 2019 Toyota TRD lineup is here and they’re pulling out all the stops. The Tundra returns after a year hiatus, as well as new versions of the Tacoma and 4Runner builds.

Building on the success of the ‘17 TRD Pro Tacoma, Toyota is ditching their long-standing shock partner Bilstein in favor of Fox 2.5” body internal bypass shocks with 46mm pistons for better off- and on-road performance. The TRD suspension was developed and tested by TRD Engineers in Plano, Texas, and are paired with specially tuned springs that are unique to the Pro models. The Tundra and Tacoma use unique blends of progressive-rate leafs and the 4Runner gets its own unique coil spring.

Unique to the Tacoma is an updated front skid plate and anti-roll bar, as well as the new “TRD Desert Air Intake”, also known as a snorkel. The TRD team says that this ensures the air for the engine is coming from a cleaner space up by the windshield instead of down in the wheel arch itself.

The Tundra earns its little brother’s RIGID Industries LED fog lamps, as well as new blacked out LED headlamps. A new unique hood with scoop and a TRD dual-exhaust system and a 1/4-inch thick aluminum skid plate. Additionally, BBS supplies the new 18-inch forged-aluminum satin-black wheels.

The 4Runner receives the least amount of updates outside of the new Fox suspension, with the carryover RIGID LED fog lamps and a new roof rack.

The ‘19 will be available in three color options, Super White, Black Metallic and a returning favorite from year’s past – Voodoo Blue. Vehicles and pricing will be available this fall. Stay tuned.
