First Look: Go Fast Campers Platform RTT

This past week in Belgrade, Montana, we had the opportunity to stop by Go Fast Campers and get their new rooftop tent, the Platform, fitted to our ‘17 Power Wagon.

This is the first tent they have made that is separate from their camper space frame. In this instance, we mounted the tent to the modular Leitner Designs rack. We chose this route instead of the standard GFC faire because of the quick access storage to our Leitner pods, and our fuel and MAXTRAX racks setup, respectively.

We previously covered the specifics of the GFC camper setup, so we will not go into hardcore details, but know that this tent is fully made in the USA from aluminum and composite materials, is on par with weight from the fiberglass options on the market, and is the thinnest on the market at a mere 6 inches. This tent, in particular, retains GFC’s modular flooring, allowing entry from the bottom section of the tent, but can be equipped with a side door on the tent and entered via a ladder.

The GFC tent will be on the market in the next few weeks, costing approximately $3,500.

If you would like to know more or would like to put your name in the hat for a pre-order, go to GFC’s website.
